Children: Did not let his children have an education, although he was highly educated himself.
Emigration: Moved from Donaldsonville, Louisiana to Rayne, Louisiana in 1870 and started line of Falcon descendants there. The move to Rayne may have been in part due to better cultivating lands of the prairies, unlike the marsh of the Donandsonville area around Bayou LaFourche.
Marriage: As Delores Elizabeth was becoming increasingly ill, Marie Antonia Damasa Falcon moved into the house to take care of her and the children. After Delores' death, Joseph married Marie with consent from the courts.
